The Authentic Voice

"Find Your Voice" is a workshop series designed by psychologist and performer Susan Crockett-Crave. In the session titled "The Authentic Voice," Susan delves into ways we can reclaim our genuine voice.

Life experiences, self-doubt, trauma, and the various roles we play can gradually stifle the parts of us that once felt confident, expressive, and liberated. Over time, many people find themselves hesitating—uncertain about how to speak up, express their thoughts, or feel truly heard.

By repeatedly experiencing being heard, understood, and reconnected—both by others and, crucially, by ourselves—our nervous system learns that connection is once again achievable. We can engage in self-healing through self-compassion and self-validation, allowing ourselves to feel secure when we are indeed safe. This process enables us to reclaim our authentic voice.
